Helping You Make Lifestyle Changes to Improve Health

Everyone knows that eating right and staying in shape are important for overall health. But life's everyday pressures—hectic schedules, work deadlines, family issues, etc.—can make it difficult to find the time for good nutrition, exercise, and adequate rest.

I sincerely care about your health and that of your family. Take into consideration that our families health reflects the health of both our community and our country as a whole. Our way of life and experiencing all that life has to offer to the fullest is in trouble. The health of our community has been declining at an alarming rate. We all know people whose quality of life is poor and who die far too young as a result. We as a society have become overweight, over tired, over stressed and depressed. We look for answers. But with so many so called experts with different opinions it’s hard not to be confused about what to do.

I have decided to make it my mission to do something about it in this community and I invite you to be a part. I have noticed that for my own family if I do not make conscious healthy, therapeutic lifestyle choices the overall health of my family declines. There is to many pressures dragging us to unhealthy choices to just have good health happen to us by accident.

A healthy lifestyle is possible for everyone, but in order to achieve it you need to know which choices are good for you and which are not. There is a lot of misinformation about what is healthy and what is not healthy. Even advice from professionals seems to change from day to day. I have made it my goal to have an impact on the health of our community. By giving you and your family the information and the support you need to make healthy choices each day.

A therapeutic lifestyle means living your life in a way that improves your health. It means making choices everyday that will enhance your health, enabling you to achieve a full healthy life. Isn’t that what you want? Good health, full function and absence of disease well into old age. How is that possible? With normal healthy aging instead of having declining health and loss of function over many years, good health and high levels of function are maintained well into old age and the years of infirmity and declining function are compressed into the final years of life.

Many of the chronic conditions associated with aging – hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis, etc. as well as several forms of cancer – are not inevitable outcomes of the aging process. Instead these diseases are largely preventable by making sound lifestyle choices. Things that many people view as signs of aging – such as low energy, poor memory, low libido, chronic pain and weight gain – are not signs of aging at all. They’re signs of illness. Largely preventable illness.

So, what am I doing to help you and your family?

The following steps are just the beginning:

1) Implemented the Firstline Therapeutic Lifestyle Program into Beauchamp Chiropractic. The program is based on education, balanced eating, regular activity and appropriate nutritional supplementation.

2) Formed an alliance with other experts and business professionals in the county interested in improving our county wide health quotient.

3) Developed a Get Healthy contest to begin every January and lasting the first 3 months to encourage others toward a healthy lifestyle.

4) Currently enrolled in a 2 year post doctoral Functional Medicine specialty aimed at medical treatment of chronic diseases with natural medicine.

5) Partnered with an expert in community shows to develop and implement the Healthy Mind, Healthy body and Healthy Community Fair scheduled for the end of February.

6) Remain innovative and cutting edge with the products and services my practice offers the community.
